Yesterday, our Director – Professor Mahmoud Bukar Maina – and Deputy Director (Strategic Engagement) – Zaid Muhammad – completed the packing of a new shipment of scientific equipment and consumables bound for the Biomedical Science Research and Training Centre (BioRTC), from the University of Sussex!
This shipment includes advanced tools such as an ultra-centrifuge and its accessories, shaking incubators, liquid nitrogen storage systems for biobanking, and a gel imager, among others. These resources will significantly boost BioRTC’s capacity in neuroscience, molecular biology, diagnostics, and biobanking, while supporting the training of the next generation of African scientists.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to building world-class research infrastructure in Nigeria and highlights the value of collaboration between communities in the UK and Nigeria.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our colleagues at the University of Sussex for their unwavering support and to Hezibah Logistics for ensuring safe and efficient delivery. We look forward to the impact these resources will make in advancing research and innovation at BioRTC.
