BioRTC is proud to announce that our Lab Manager represented the Centre at the CZI Imaging the Future 2025 meeting held in San Jose, California, from 15th–18th September 2025.

This year’s theme, “Focusing on Biology in Action,” brought together grantees, imaging scientists, and stakeholders from across the global bioimaging community.

At the meeting, BioRTC’s Lab Manager shared our journey in establishing one of the leading imaging hubs in West Africa, developed through the Expanding Global Access to Bioimaging program of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI). He contributed to discussions on lab management, sustainability, and the unique challenges of running advanced imaging facilities in underserved regions.

The program featured deep-dive sessions, poster presentations, and networking opportunities that allowed BioRTC to exchange ideas with global partners on maintaining cutting-edge platforms, supporting collaborations, and training the next generation of scientists. Importantly, BioRTC also engaged with international partners and funders to explore new pathways for strengthening imaging infrastructure and capacity building in Africa.
