During the programme, he delivered lectures on the biology of #Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the use of model systems such as iPSCs to study neurodegeneration. He also led discussions on building sustainable neuroscience ecosystems, drawing on his experiences from the UK and BioRTC.

The engagement provided an opportunity to exchange ideas across regions, highlighting both shared challenges and unique opportunities in advancing neuroscience research in Africa and globally. Strengthening these connections is essential for supporting the next generation of scientists and fostering collaborative, locally relevant research.
