During the commissioning of our permanent facility in January, our founder and Director, Prof. Mahmoud Bukar Maina, presented a case for strengthening BioRTC through the recruitment and formalisation of key staff, particularly those who had been supporting the Centre on a part-time basis.
His Excellency graciously approved this request during his address.
We are therefore pleased to announce that, as of yesterday, BioRTC staff have officially received their appointment letters.
This marks a critical step in securing the long-term sustainability of the Centre and ensuring that the State’s investment in advanced scientific infrastructure is matched with the human capacity required to deliver impact. Notably, the appointments reflect a merit-based process, bringing together talented individuals from across Nigeria—from Lagos to Katsina and Yobe.
We sincerely appreciate His Excellency for not only approving this request, but for ensuring its prompt implementation. This level of commitment is essential to building a lasting and credible scientific ecosystem.
BioRTC remains committed to advancing high-quality research, training, and innovation for the benefit of Nigeria, Africa, and the global community.
