I am a seasoned Medical Laboratory Scientist, academic, and administrator with extensive experience in health systems management, laboratory services, and research administration. I currently serve as the Deputy Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Biomedical Science Research and Training Centre (BioRTC), Yobe State University, where I oversee and coordinate the administrative operations and human resource management of the Centre, ensuring efficient institutional governance and support for research and training activities.

I have several years of leadership experience in managing medical laboratory services, research laboratories and academic programs. I presently serves as the Head of Department (HOD) of Medical Laboratory Services at Yobe State University Teaching Hospital (YSUTH) and also doubles as the HOD of the newly established Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Yobe State University (YSU), where I contributed to the development of laboratory training, academic programs, and professional capacity building.
