Professor Maina’s research focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease and tauopathies. His work examines how cellular stress pathways, genetic diversity, and environmental factors shape disease risk and progression.
