BioRTC PI to Showcase Research at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2026

BioRTC is proud to celebrate Dr Rashidatu Abdulazeez, one of our Principal Investigators, who is part of the team presenting an exhibit at the prestigious Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2026 in London.

The exhibit, “The Viral Stories Written in Our DNA,” invites visitors to discover how ancient viruses have left lasting signatures within animal genomes and how these viral sequences continue to influence evolution, immunity, and health. Through interactive activities, including the EVE Detective game and live fruit fly demonstrations, the exhibit brings cutting-edge genetics research to audiences of all ages. (Royal Society)

The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition is one of the United Kingdom’s premier public engagement events, bringing together leading researchers to share pioneering scientific discoveries through hands-on exhibits, talks, and interactive experiences. (Royal Society)

Dr Rashidatu’s participation reflects BioRTC’s commitment to scientific excellence, international collaboration, and public engagement. We are proud to see our Principal Investigators contributing to initiatives that inspire curiosity, promote scientific literacy, and communicate research beyond the laboratory.

We congratulate Dr Rashidatu and wish her every success as she helps bring this exciting science to thousands of visitors at one of the world’s leading science exhibitions.
